Pinky Presentations

Two presentations for Nebraska Poison Control Center in conjunction with Kohl’s Pharmacy

Dates:

  1. Thurs 10/8 2-2:30pm grade K
  2. Friday 10/9 1:30-2pm grade 2

1-2 volunteers are needed for each presentation
Mandatory 30 minute training session on Wednesday, October 7th in the pharmacy lounge at noon.

Alumni Weekend

Hey Brothers and Pledges!

Alumni weekend is quickly approaching!!  Our miniature golf “hole” will be judged based on character and creativity.  (Heads-up, we will have the first hole J) We would like each person to donate AT LEAST ONE CAN OF MEAT OR CORN as our hole must be themed.  Feel free to drop your cans off with me at any point between tomorrow and next week Thursday.   We need a minimum collection of 50 cans to participate.  (They will also be collecting toiletries on the day of the event.) If you are available on Thursday, Oct 1st from noon on, please email me and assist us in constructing the hole near OASA!

Our role at each event is to, “Answer questions about the many activities and initiatives happening in the school.”  PDC’s goal is to promote our name/cause and reconnect with our alum.  We will be participating in two events:

Miniature Golf:  (10/2)

Location:  OASA Office Area

8:45-10am

10-11 am

12-1 pm

1-2 pm

2-3pm

*The first shift allows for set-up.

Soccer Game:  (10/3)

Location:  Morrison Stadium

5:00-7:00pm

7:00-9:00pm (may be able to earlier)

There is no “set” number of volunteers per period so feel free to sign-up with friends J If you are available to work a shift or two, please send Chelsea Suzuki an email with the event and time you’re willing to cover. (I’ll send out updates.)  Your time is greatly appreciated!  (I apologize for the short notice.)

Community Safety and Wellness Festival-Nebraska Safety Council

 

Dates: Sunday, October 4, 2009,

Time: 10:30am-5:30pm

§ Shifts: 10:30am-1:30pm

§ Shifts: 1:15pm-5:30pm

 

Description: Provide health assessment screenings to adults in the Omaha community

during the Nebraska Safety Council’s Festival,

one of the largest family oriented community safety events in the area. The Festival

is filled with community providers in an interactive educational event for all ages designed to

increase the safety and health of everyone in our community while having fun.

 

Location: Embassy Suites/LaVista Conference Center, 12520 Westport parkway, Omaha, NE.

 

*Required Orientation, Wed, Sept 30, Noon-1pm, Rm:112 Boyne
